Developer Image Power’s long-awaited Haunted House Renovator has finally launched on Steam. The game is available with a 10% launch discount from now until May 7. The demo that launched last June is also available, if you’re in the “try before you buy” crowd.
“After three years of passionate development, our biggest project to date is now out in the world,” reads the announcement on the Haunted House Renovator Steam page. “Step into eerie mansions where dusty furniture and peeling wallpaper are the least of your worries… because not every resident is ready to let go of their haunted home. 
This release means everything to us, it’s the heart and soul of our studio, and we truly hope it brings you hours of spooky fun, satisfying gameplay, and creative renovations!”
Haunted House Renovator has a simple concept: as a ghost-hunting renovator, your task is to restore haunted houses to a usable state. Applying a new wallpaper won’t be enough to convince your customers that a house is safe, however. You’ll not only face challenges typical for this profession but also unwelcome tenants – ghosts, gremlins, and other supernatural beings that will try to sabotage your work at all costs. You can choose to exorcise ghosts gently, or use more radical methods. Depending upon your choices, you will influence the course of the story.
Once you’ve exorcised the house, you’ve got to deal with cleanup. Using your creativity, you must decorate the mansion to make it inviting and liveable. As an added bonus, if you manage to tame a haunting, it will stay by your side and assist you in your missions.
