How Plausible Is It to Have the “Hocus Pocus” Kids Back for Some More Halloween Hijinks?

Potentially very good. See below.

It turns out that the announcement is official according to the Carrie Bradshaw of the Sanderson bunch (Sarah Jessica Parker): there will be a “Hocus Pocus” sequel, premiering on Disney+. She noted on Instagram, in fact, succinctly, that all three Sanderson sisters — Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker herself — have agreed to wreak Halloween havoc once again…. As long as Disney’s up for it.

It’s apparently a waiting game. The scoop is Disney is indeed up for it. Now it’s just setting the date for production, principal photography — and a script to work with.

The Question Now Everyone Has Is Whether or Not the Rest of the Original Cast Would Like to Face Them in Halloween Battle!

Very, very, very, very good question indeed.

We’re, of course, talking about the other trio of characters: Max Dennison, Dani Dennison, and Allison. However others, such as Tobias Jelinek who played the irreverent Jay and Larry Bagby who played the goofy Ice, may also have an in on the sequel.

More importantly, this is all about Omri Katz — and perhaps Vinessa Shaw — seeming interested in perhaps tackling the timeless epic of Hallow’s Eve that made Disney such a juggernaut of spooks and chills. The fact is this:

Katz is a retired actor. He’s 42 years old. He is a hairdresser, splitting time between Los Angeles and Israel (of all places), so he may not have the space in his schedule to accommodate a full-blown production as an actor in a sequel of a really, really old Halloween movie. We’re not even entirely sure if Shaw would entertain the idea either. Thora Birch, however? We’re guessing she’d jump on that in a heartbeat.

Yet Recently the Gang Definitely Showed Their Love of the Disney Property. More Than Once.

It is, indeed, endearing to them as shown in the most recent anniversary collaboration for a Halloween TV special hosted by Vanessa Hudgens. Even Najimy was present for the spectacle along with the aforementioned cast, minus Sarah Jessica Parker and the icon Bette Midler. That wasn’t even the first — back in 2015, Katz reunited with Birch and Shaw to celebrate Halloween with the undertone that it was all about some Hocus Pocus. No doubt. So you begin to wonder….

Would They Be Open to Reprising Their Roles as Well?

It’s possible. But it just depends on scheduling and willingness. Perhaps the right offer could make a difference!
