Psychological Horror Title ‘Luto’ Launches July 22 for PC, Consoles[Trailer]

It’s been a long four years for Selecta Play and Broken Bird Games’ psychological horror game Luto, but the game is finally getting a release next month. Luto will arrive July 22 for for PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A physical Special Edition will also be coming to the PlayStation 5, featuring a sleeved case, exclusive stickers, and a lore comic that delves deeper into the haunting world of Luto.

In Luto, you play as a person who, pained by loss and the resulting mental anguish, is trapped in their own home. Finding a way to leave will result in a series of paths that will “challenge your senses.” That in turn involves exploring the pain caused by the loss of a loved one, the horror of the insecurity to the deepest darkness hidden behind anxiety and depression.

That anxiety in Luto will be explored by different phobias, including monophobia (fear of being alone), claustrophobia, agoraphobia, nyctophobia (fear of the dark) and more. Players will unravel the story at their own pace, piecing together meaning from fragmented memories and surreal surroundings.

Currently, you can check out the demo that’s available on Steam.
