Four fresh faces have joined the cast of dark psychological thriller The Silence Game, from New Life writer/director John Rosman and producer T. Justin Ross (Aporia, The Mortuary Collection, The Old Ways).
Santiago Segura (“Pulse“, “Scream”), Gabrielle Byndloss (Thunderbolts*, “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”), Chris Webster (“Reacher“, “Most Dangerous Game”), and Emily Rose (“Pulse“, “The Cleaning Lady”) have joined Tony Cavalero (“The Righteous Gemstones”), Sarah Yarkin (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Nicholas Cirillo (Black Mirror) in the cast of The Silence Game.
It follows a disillusioned young man who, after following a mysterious woman into a camp of outsiders, falls under the influence of a charismatic leader preaching virtue through The Silence Game, an unnerving game with straightforward but terrifying rules.
Rosman writes and directs.
The director’s feature debut, New Life, became a film festival darling in 2023, earning critical acclaim for its fresh take on the thriller genre. The film was acquired by Brainstorm Media and is currently streaming on Hulu. I wrote in my New Life review that “Rosman’s assured debut deftly blends genres, interweaving a meditative character drama with bursts of stark horror and plenty of action thrills.”
Santiago Segura can currently be seen in the Netflix hit medical drama “Pulse” and on CW’s “American Western Walker: Independence“. He is best known for his series regular role in “Scream“, as well as the thriller 47 Meters Down opposite Mandy Moore.
Gabrielle Byndloss stars in Marvel’s Thunderbolts* alongside Sebastian Stan and Florence Pugh and recently filmed a supporting role in a Duplass brothers project called See You When I See You.
Chris Webster can be seen alongside Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz, David Castaneda, Zach Cherry, and Anna Gunn in seasons one and two of Roku’s Most Dangerous Game. Chris is also well-known for playing the series regular role of “KJ“ opposite Alan Ritchson in season one of Reacher on Amazon. Webster will also soon appear in the indie feature Wendy & Peter, as well as in a guest star role in the current series finale of “NCIS“.
Emily Rose is best known for her roles as Chloe in Netflix’s “Pulse“, Aurora in FOX’s “The Cleaning Lady“, and Antonia in Universal Pictures’ Primo.
New Life Casting Director Emily Schweber reteamed with the filmmakers to assemble this psychological thriller’s cast. Segura is represented by Lindsay Whitaker at TalentWorks and Tiffany Kuzon at Mosaic. Bydnloss is repped by Robert Szertics at Madhouse Talent Management and Jaon Lockhart at Atlanta Models & Talent Agency. Webster is represented by Zach Liss and Joannie Burnstein at The Burstein Comp.
