Are you a Stephen King fan based in California? Well, we’ve got the event for you! On November 19th, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will host a special live screening event titled Stephen King’s Dollar Babies, celebrating the author’s long-running program that allowed aspiring filmmakers to adapt his short stories for just one dollar.

For decades, King’s Dollar Baby Program provided emerging directors with the opportunity to legally adapt his short fiction at a minimal cost, resulting in a diverse range of independent interpretations of his work. The Academy Museum’s curated program brings several of these short films together for one night only.
