Shudder Debuts Gritty Trailer for Justin Long and CM Punk Horror Film ‘Night Patrol’

Shudder and RLJE Films just dropped the trailer for their upcoming police procedural/horror film hybrid Night Patrol. The preview paints a gritty picture of LA street gangs at war with a police department with a supernatural secret.

Though the film won’t bow in theaters until after the new year, you can whet your appetite now with the brand-new trailer in the player window below.

Judging by the trailer, Night Patrol looks like a film with a lot of twists in store for its audience. The preview is somewhat cryptic, making only a brief reference to the true nature of the central evil at play without much context. I commend the less-is-more approach. I’d so much rather be surprised going in than know all the major plot points in advance.

Ryan Prows is at the helm of the project, which he co-wrote with Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson. Prows previously helmed the “Terror” segment in the anthology horror V/H/S/94.

Night Patrol stars Jermaine Fowler, Justin Long, RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux.

The film is slated to bow exclusively in theaters on January 16, 2026. Will you be checking it out then? Be sure to let us know in the comments section.
