It was announced today that the next installment in the long-running Evil Dead franchise will be officially titled Evil Dead Wrath. Over the weekend, the studio unveiled the film’s first logo and title treatment ahead of its planned theatrical release this July of Evil Dead Burn.

The upcoming film is set to be written and directed by Francis Galluppi, best known for the 2023 thriller The Last Stop in Yuma County. Galluppi will take the helm of the next mainline entry in the franchise, with series creators Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert returning as producers under the Ghost House Pictures banner.

Production on Evil Dead Wrath is expected to begin this month in Auckland, New Zealand, as the franchise continues to expand with new standalone stories. The project is moving forward even as the previous installment prepares for its own theatrical rollout later this summer.

Casting for the film was announced earlier this year, with Charlotte Hope, Jessica McNamee, Zach Gilford, Josh Helman, Ella Newton, Ella Oliphant, and Elizabeth Cullen set to star.

Lee Cronin, who directed Evil Dead Rise, will serve as an executive producer on the project alongside longtime series collaborator Bruce Campbell.

Plot details remain under wraps, though the film is expected to introduce a new group of characters who find themselves confronted by the demonic forces unleashed by the Necronomicon.
