“Slasher: Flesh & Blood”: Behind-the-Scenes Clip Digs Into the Guts and Gore! [Video]

Slasher series creator Aaron Martin and showrunner Ian Carpenter understand one of the most essential elements to a slasher; the kills. And “Slasher: Flesh & Blood,” available exclusively on Shudder, delivered big time.

The clip below pulls back the curtain and spotlights the artists behind this season’s gore and how they came up with those gnarly, memorable kills. Be prepared for some NSFW splatter-filled content.

“Slasher: Flesh & Blood” follows a wealthy but dysfunctional family gathering for a reunion on a secluded island. Their old wounds and competitive rivalries flare up when the family realizes a masked killer is on the island, intent on cruelly picking them off one by one.

The family at the center of the slaughter complicates things with their cutthroat mentality; the masked killer this season might have competition. It adds a fun new layer to the extreme gore this season, and “Flesh & Blood” isn’t afraid to showcase it.

Pyewacket‘s Adam MacDonald directed “Slasher: Flesh & Blood.” Along with David Cronenberg, the series also stars Paula Brancati, Jefferson Brown, Patrice Goodman, Sabrina Grdevich, and Christopher Jacot. New faces this year include Rachael Crawford (Heartland),  Jeananne Goossen (The Walking Dead), Sydney Meyer (Departure), and Alex Ozerov (The Americans).

“Slasher: Flesh & Blood” is available to binge on Shudder now.
