Rodents of unusual size very much do exist in the world of upcoming movie The Mutation, a Halloween release that’s soon on the way from the folks over at Uncork’d Entertainment.
Director Scott Jeffrey‘s monster movie comes to DVD and Digital on October 5.
Check out the trailer below, which spotlights an awesome looking creature suit (reminding of the werewolves in Late Phases), as well as, well, a much larger CGI monstrosity. One looks better than the other, to say the very least, but The Mutation all around looks like a fun SYFY-style creature feature that should scratch some kind of particular itch this Halloween season.
An itch, if I’m being perfectly honest, that I’m looking forward to scratching.
“After a deadly experiment on a rat goes wrong, the mutated rat has been let loose in a city and a group of detectives are on the hunt for the beast. Zoologist, Allen Marsh must work alongside a grieving widow to help the detectives capture and exterminate the mutated rat. As the body count rises, no one is safe, and the rat is growing at a rapid pace!”
