‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Featurette Previews Composer Alexandre Desplat’s Score

Academy Award-winning composer Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel) draws inspiration from his “forever idol” John Williams with the orchestral score for Jurassic World Rebirth.

“At some moments, the music is so loud and so strong and dynamic that we feel it,” Desplat previews in the featurette below. “The audience will feel it for sure.”

From executive producer Steven Spielberg, the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise opens on July 2 from Universal.

Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Godzilla) directs from a script by original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp, based on characters created by Michael Crichton.

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived.

The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein star.
