‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Puts a Larger Focus on The Addams Family [Sneak Peek]

Jenna Ortega is back as Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s “Wednesday” Season 2, with the hotly anticipated new season of the original series premiering with Part 1 on August 6.

Part 2 of “Wednesday” Season 2 will follow on September 3.

The new season promises more misery, more mystery, and even more of the Addams Family. Check out a sneak peek featurette below for a taste of what’s to come this Summer.

“There really isn’t a lot of Addams Family lore,” the team previews. “So we wanted to delve deeper into the family.”

Isaac Ordonez co-stars as Pugsley Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama Hester Frump, Joonas Suotamo as Lurch, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

The cast also includes Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort, Billie Piper as Isadora Capri, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Orloff, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Ritchie Santiago, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Rachael Fairburn, and Heather Matarazzo as Judi.

Lady Gaga, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, and Anthony Michael Hall will also appear in undisclosed roles.

Series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville,” Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) are back as showrunners. Executive producer Tim Burton directs four of Season 2’s eight episodes, with Paco Cabezas (“The Umbrella Academy”) and Angela Robinson (Professor Marston & the Wonder Women) each helming two others.
