[Watch] “Seek”: Creature Finds What It’s Looking for in Spooky Short Film

After a major festival tour over the past year, director/co-writer Aaron Morgan and co-writer Eric Vespe‘s indie short “Seek” is available online just in time for Halloween.

In the creature feature, “Estranged sisters Heidi and Jordan have been driving all night when they come across a dilapidated roadside park and bathroom. Horrific events follow when a mischievous resident inhabiting the bathroom demands to play a terrifying game.”

The short has some really cool effects, which isn’t that surprising in that the practical effects were created by two-time Academy Award Nominee Arjen Tuiten (Maleficent, Wonder, Pan’s Labyrinth, and upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and based on concept designs by WETA Workshop. The VFX was completed by Rogelio Salinas and Todd Perry, who worked on Black Panther, Avengers, and even Doctor Strange.

“Seek” stars Allisyn Snyder (Heather on NBC’s “AP Bio”), Clare Grant (“Robot Chicken,” “Changeland”), Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, The Suicide Squad, HBO MAX “Peacemaker”), and Sarah Anne Williams (“Sailor Moon,” “Hello Kitty”) as the voice of the Lonely Child.
