Arclight Films and Director Alister Grierson’s ‘Bloody Hell’ Hopes to Launch a Trilogy of Horror Tales

Arclight Films will handle worldwide distribution rights for director Alister Grierson‘s upcoming horror-thriller film Bloody Hell, it was announced this morning via press release.

Bloody Hell is the first of a planned trilogy of films in this pop horror franchise,” we’re told.

Check out a first-look photo from the movie above.

Written by Robert Benjamin, Bloody Hell is billed as “a fiendishly fun rollercoaster horror film set between Boise, Idaho and Helsinki, Finland which follows our lead character Rex Coen played by Ben O’Toole (Nekrotronic), a man with a mysterious past who flees the country to escape his own personal hell – only to arrive somewhere much, much, much worse.”

Supporting cast includes Meg Fraser, who makes her screen debut playing the Finnish character of Alia, a natural born caretaker, but also the black sheep of her family, Caroline Craig (“Blue Heelers,” “Underbelly”), Matthew Sunderland (Amazon’s The Lost City of Z, Out of the Blue), Travis Jeffery (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Unbroken), Jack Finsterer (“Dangerous,” In Her Skin, “Neighbours”), and newcomers David Hill, and Caleb Enoka.

“What would happen if a character like John Wick walked into the home of a deranged family with dark secrets? This film aims to show audiences that exact answer on a unique ride like no other of its kind. The film starts with a bang, a few bangs actually… quite literally, then keeps the twists and turns coming. Hopefully, audiences have strapped themselves in and are ready for a ride, because if not… they are going to be thrown from their seats,” exclaimed producers Brett Thornquest and Joshua Paul.

Described as Fargo meets Fight Club, Arclight will launch sales at the upcoming Cannes 2020.

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
