‘Monster Hunter’ Photo Straps a Slinger Onto Milla Jovovich!

While the first photo and posters from Sony Screen Gems’ Monster Hunter showed Milla Jovovich‘s Lieutenant Artemis wielding a Giant Jawblade, a brand new still has been released that straps a slinger on her left wrist. This tool is both a weapon – it acts as a slingshot – and transportation device by utilizing a grappling hook. This photo may not be action-packed, but it makes big promises.

Resident Evil‘s Paul W.S. Anderson directs Monster Hunter, an adaptation of the Capcom video game franchise set to be released on September 4, 2020, and rated PG-13 for “sequences of creature action and violence throughout.”

Here’s the official plot rundown…

“Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.”

Tony JaaTip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Meagan GoodDiego Boneta, Josh Helman and Ron Perlman star alongside Jovovich in the big screen video game adaptation.
