World of Darkness Universe Enters VR With ‘Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife’

VR gamers waiting for games like Bloodlines 2 or Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood can look forward to a new entry all their own in the World of Darkness universe in Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife. Set for release for “all major VR platforms” from Fast Travel Games, Afterlife will let players experience the World of Darkness universe in virtual reality for the first time ever.

Sharing the same universe as Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Afterlife is set in the modern Barclay Mansion, where players will take the perspective of a Wraith and unravel the mysteries that await beyond the Shroud.

“I am a massive fan of games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Alien: Isolation, and have always felt that the kind of narrative-driven, exploration-focused horror these titles deliver would be perfect for virtual reality,” stated Fast Travel Games creative director Erik Odeldahl in a press release. “To make such a game in the World of Darkness setting, specifically the rich and mystical world of Wraith: The Oblivion, is really a dream come true for me, and I cannot wait to share more details about it!”

Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife will be fully unveiled at Gamescom Now with a gameplay trailer on August 27.
