Cross Promotional Event May Indicate Upcoming ‘Dying Light 2’ Release Date Announcement

Last month it was reported that Dying Light 2 was in the home stretch for development. And from a new promotional campaign by Asus and Techland, we may just have that new release date.

Keep in mind that this is all pure speculation, as neither Asus or Techland have confirmed the conclusions drawn from this campaign.

Anyway, Asus has begun a new campaign that just so happens to centre on the upcoming open world zombie apocalypse title. The story goes that everyone who buys an eligible Asus product will be getting PC codes for the original Dying Light and the upcoming sequel. The promotional plan started on July 1st, and the redemption of prizes will be happening from July 15th until September 13th.

What this all means is that if Asus attempts to send out keys for both of the games, it would mean that redeeming the codes would require Dying Light 2 to have a specific release date, right? And, if the redemption starts on July 15th, that would mean that potentially the game could have its release date revealed as early as this month.

Again, nothing is set in stone, nor has Techland officially revealed the release date. However, we can only hope that it comes soon.

Dying Light 2 is also in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
