Sam Neill‘s Alan Grant, Laura Dern‘s Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum‘s Ian Malcolm are all returning for Jurassic World: Dominion, but what we’ve been wondering since the announcement was made is just how large their roles will be. Goldblum appeared in a minor cameo role in Fallen Kingdom, but the trio’s involvement in Dominion looks to be substantial.
Speaking with Yahoo, Sam Neill promises much more than mere cameos.
“We’re all the way through the film, Jeff [Goldblum], and me, and Laura [Dern],” Neill told Yahoo Movies UK this week.
Production on Dominion is currently on hold due to the ongoing pandemic, but filming is set to kick back into gear in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
Colin Trevorrow is directing Dominion.
The film’s current release date is June 11, 2021, but that could change.
The cast also includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise and Scott Haze. Campbell Scott is playing original Jurassic Park character Lewis Dodgson.
