The ‘Remothered: Broken Porcelain’ Release Date Has Been Pushed Back to October

Yes, sadly we’re reporting on another delay. The Clock Tower-inspired Remothered: Broken Porcelain has been delayed from August 25 to a much spookier October 20.

The game only recently had a fresh gameplay preview, where the August release date was confirmed, but Modus, Stormind Games, and Darril Arts have come to the decision to delay the game’s release by two months in order to deliver it in the best shape possible on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

In a statement from Modus, a full explanation was given.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of showcasing a first look at the gameplay of Remothered: Broken Porcelain during GamesRadar’s Future Games Show where we revealed that the game would be releasing on August 25.

However, after much consideration, we have reached a decision with Darril Arts and Stormind Games to delay Remothered: Broken Porcelain’s release to October 20th this year.

We are incredibly excited to invite you into this wonderfully realized chapter of the Remothered story, but it’s important that we deliver the experience you deserve. Having additional time for polish and to accommodate unanticipated longer timeframes due to the current global situation will help us do exactly that.

This also means that you’ll be able to explore the Ashmann Inn for the very first time during the spookiest time of the year, Halloween!

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and enthusiasm for Remothered: Broken Porcelain. We look forward to seeing your reactions when you play the game later this year.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the sequel to the cult hit Italian survival horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers and continues the story of Rosemary Reed as she investigates the creepy Ashmann Inn in search of Celeste Felton, a girl who mysteriously vanished years ago.

The game was already looking like it would improve on the flawed original, so a couple of months of extra polish and care certainly can’t hurt. Plus it’s nice to have a new horror game just before Halloween, right?
