Embeth Davidtz and Rufus Sewell Join the Cast of M. Night Shyamalan’s Next Thriller

The cast for M. Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming untitled thriller for Universal Pictures, the first of two he’s working on for the studio, continues to fill out this week, with Deadline reporting today that Embeth Davidtz (Army of Darkness, “Ray Donovan”), Rufus Sewell (Dark City, “The Man in the High Castle”) and Emun Elliot (Prometheus, “Guilt”) have joined the cast.

The ensemble also includes Gael GarcĂ­a Bernal, Alex Wolff, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung and Vicky Krieps.

Filming will begin on the untitled movie, which Shyamalan has described as being “weird and dark,” whenever it’s safe for productions here in the States to resume.

For now, no plot details are available.

The film’s current theatrical date is July 23, 2021.
