Lovecraftian horrors seem to be all the rage right now, and the upcoming indie Intersect is certainly cut from that cloth. In fact, the horror/sci-fi film is set at Miskatonic University!
Intersect, a time travel sci-fi thriller written and directed by Gus Holwerda (The Unbelievers), is set to release on digital and on-demand on September 15. The film follows a group of young, Miskatonic University scientists who invent a time machine, only to learn that they are being manipulated by mysterious, unseen forces from another dimension.
The film premiered at the 2020 Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival and features a cast including James Morrison (24, Twin Peaks), Jason Spisak (DC’s Young Justice, Star Wars: Clone Wars) and famed evolutionary biologist and iconoclast Richard Dawkins (author of The God Delusion) as the voice of the time machine’s artificial intelligence.
1091 Pictures is in charge of Worldwide Rights. The deal was negotiated by the producers at Black Chalk Productions, with Carly Reicho on behalf of 1091 Pictures.
