Make It a ’90s Night: The Last Remaining Blockbuster is Hosting Sleepovers Through Airbnb!

Fittingly known as “The Last Blockbuster,” the Blockbuster Video in Bend, Oregon is quite literally the final remaining Blockbuster store in the world, and the store remains open for rentals to this day. It’s also going to open up for end of summer hangouts, we’ve learned this week, with the owners taking to Airbnb to offer up once-in-a-lifetime sleepover opportunities!

The official Airbnb listing describes the uniquely nostalgic experience, “Dust off those membership cards for a sleepover inside the world’s last BLOCKBUSTER. When you call dibs on this stay, you’re booking a night back in the 90s, but this time you won’t have to beg your parents to rent the latest horror flick–we’ll give you the keys to the entire store!

“On 8/17 at 1PM PT, we’re inviting movie lovers from the area to request to book one of these three, one-night stays that will take place on 9/18, 9/19 and 9/20 for up to four people.”

“You’ll have the store to yourself from check-in to check-out,” the listing also notes, “[and] we’ve created the perfect space complete with a pull-out couch, bean bags and pillows for you to cozy up with “new releases” from the ‘90s. Crack open a two-liter of Pepsi before locking into a video game, charting your future in a game of MASH, or watching movie after movie.”

Bookings will open up on August 17th. Click here to learn more!

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
