Dark Action Platformer ‘Vigil: The Longest Night’ Arriving October 14th For PC, Switch

Publisher Another Indie and developer Glass Heart Games may have just the thing for you if you’re looking to feed your fix this Halloween season. Their 2D action platformer Vigil: The Longest Night will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on October 14. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have also been announced, but according to the developer, those versions will arrive after the PC and Switch releases.

Inspired by titles such as Salt and Sanctuary and Castlevania, Vigil: The Longest Night tells a tale of eldritch horror, combined with challenging difficulty. Vigil centres on Leila and her quest to save her hometown from the creeping evil infesting the surrounding countryside.

Featuring music by the talented Jouni Valjakka of metal band Whispered, Vigil boasts a “fusion of Lovecraftian prose and Taiwanese culture”, with an art style inspired by the art of Chinese Paper Cutting.
