Exclusive ‘The Last Rite’ Poster and Stills Prepare for an Exorcism

An official selection of FrightFest, Bloody Disgusting has the first stills and official art for The Last Rite, a new exorcism horror film that’s said to be rooted in writer-director Leroy Kincaide‘s love of The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

In the film, a medical student suffering from sleep paralysis finds herself plagued by a demonic entity, after moving in with her boyfriend.

It stars Johnny Fleming, Bethan Waller, and Tara Hoyos-Martinez.

Set to have its World Premiere at FrightFest “First Blood” on October 24th (tix), the Nocturnal Pictures-produced film looks to give homage to The Exorcist, while also mixing in some more recent social commentary. It’s said to be based on Kincaide’s own real-life experiences with the paranormal.
