Overhead Zombie Shooter ‘The Last Stand: Aftermath’ Launches Kickstarter For Final Development Stretch

Flash game enthusiasts of yesteryear may recall 2007’s The Last Stand by developer Con Artist Games. The premise was pretty simple: survive the night fighting off zombies from your barricade. Jump ahead 13 years, and Con Artist Games are on the last stretch of development for The Last Stand: Aftermath, which will launch on PC via Steam next year.

Aftermath once again thrusts you into a cataclysmic zombie apocalypse, but this time, you’ve been infected. You must make the most of your final days by gathering supplies for those who will come after you, while at the same time hunting for the truth behind the renewed danger of the zombie virus. Not to worry if you do keel over. When one survivor dies, the player will immediately take control of another, who will benefit from the progress made by those before them.

To help with the final stretch of development, Con Artist has turned to Kickstarter to help with the final costs. $50,000 is a lofty goal, but as these things go, there are plenty of tiers (and rewards) for backers. And given what you can see in the trailer and in the various screenshots on the Kickstarter page, this is one project that certainly looks worthy of support.
