‘A Quiet Place’: Jeff Nichols Directing a Third Installment of the Franchise for 2022 Release!

While we continue waiting for John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place: Part II, which would’ve seen release this year if not for the ongoing pandemic, we’ve learned that a third film is in the works!

Deadline reports today that Paramount has hired Jeff Nichols (Midnight Special) to write and direct a third installment in the franchise, which will release in theaters in 2022.

The site adds that the third movie’s storyline is “based on an original idea by John Krasinski.” Krasinski, who wrote and directed the first two movies, is also board to produce.

Producers also include Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller for Platinum Dunes.

Part II, meanwhile, is currently set for release on April 23, 2021.

Released in 2018, A Quiet Place was a massive hit for Paramount, introducing a post-apocalyptic world wherein monsters roam free… and if you make a sound, they will find you. The upcoming second installment continues the storyline from the first movie, starring Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. No word yet on the third film’s approach/storyline.
