Indie studio The Brotherhood has not only announced a sequel to their isometric overhead horror game Stasis, but a new funding campaign to go along with it. Set for a Q1 2022 release, Stasis: Bone Totem is available now on Steam as a playable demo, and will feature all-new characters and stories in the same universe as Stasis and The Brotherhood’s previous game, Cayne.
In order to help with development, the team has set up a funding campaign to raise $60,000. As you’d expect, there are several funding goals and rewards, depending on how much you donate.
The story for Bone Totem introduces Mac and Charlie, two nautical salvagers who stumble upon DEEPSEA 15, a seemingly abandoned Cayne Corporation rig in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Of course, from there the duo experience horrors in environments that harken back to something that H.R. Giger conjured up. Bone Totem will have you toggling back and forth between three characters, alongside a shared inventory system where you’ll have to combine items, interact with computers, and solve puzzles in order to escape this nightmare under the sea.
