“Clarice”: Trailer for CBS Series Reunites You With Clarice Starling One Year After ‘The Silence of the Lambs’

CBS is taking you back to 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, with brand new sequel series “Clarice,” which is headed to the small screen in exactly one month.

Watch the series premiere on Thursday, February 11 at 10/9c on CBS and CBS All Access.

The official trailer has arrived today, providing us with two-minutes of footage from the series. It’s clear from this footage that though she’s moved on in her career to hunting new killers, Clarice is still very much wrestling with the events of The Silence of the Lambs. Buffalo Bill even makes appearances in flashbacks, but don’t expect to see Hannibal Lecter in this series.

Meet back up with Clarice Starling by watching the full official trailer below.

Rebecca Breeds (“Pretty Little Liars”) will star as Clarice Starling. The previously announced cast also includes Michael Cudlitz as Paul Krendler, Lucca de Oliveira as Tomas Esquivel, Kal Penn as Shaan Tripathi, Nick Sandow as Agent Clarke, Devyn Tyler as Ardelia Mapp and Marnee Carpenter as The Silence of the Lambs character Catherine Martin.

“Clarice is set in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. The series is a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling, as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”

“Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice graduated Magna from UVA with a double major in Psych and Criminology. Her bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. Her complex psychological makeup comes from a challenging childhood, and her drive comes from her need to escape the burden of family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.”

Elizabeth Klaviter (“The Resident”) will show-run “Clarice,” working alongside writers/executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Jenny LumetMaja Vrvilo directs the pilot.

The Top 10 Streaming Scary Movies of Today (According to Netflix)

Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
