New ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’ Zombie Map “Firebase Z” Receives Frenetic Trailer

Treyarch teased the upcoming Firebase Z map a few weeks back for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Now they’ve unveiled a brand-new trailer for the map, which also contains a few details on what to expect.

The trailer reveals that apart from zombie mayhem, the map will be set in Vietnam. Players’ attentions will be focused on a large purple portal in the centre of the map. Once you manage to get through, players will be greeted with more powerful zombies (naturally), including some more monstrous in appearance.

And as always, there will be plenty of new weapons for players to harness, including what appears to be a modified AK-47 with an under-barrel grenade launcher. Though instead of launching grenades, the gun fires off energy projectiles that explode in a massive radius.

Of course, Treyarch is keeping things quiet for now (including the release date), so we’ll just have to see what else they let slip before the map is released.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series.
