New ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ Mod Allows For First-Person Fights And Other Camera Fun

If you’ve ever wanted to play Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate from a view other than the side, then MK11Hook might be for you. Previous mods have allowed player to take control of the camera in MK11 before (which has resulted in some cool fatality angles), but this new mod by Ermaccer (who also created a similar mod for Mortal Kombat X) allows a bit more.

Not only can you mess around with the camera, but you’re also able to control the game’s speed and disable the slow-motion on things like X-Ray moves. The main draw is being able to play the game from a first-person or third-person over-the-shoulder perspective. Obviously, the game was never meant to be played like this, but it’s still cool to see.

The best thing is that it can be done on the fly via the mod’s in-game popup. So no tabbing out and fiddling with menus. Obviously, this is only for the Steam version of the game, but you never know if someone were crafty enough to create a console version at some point.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is available now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
