Latest Update For ‘DayZ’ Wipes Servers, But Fixes a Whole Lot in The Process

Bohemia Interactive keep plugging away at their open-world zombie survival game DayZ with their latest update to the game, which brings performance and gameplay revamps, but at the cost of a server wipe.

Update 1.11 wipes the servers of both console and PC versions, which is meant to compliment the update 1.11 for a fresh start into 2021. According to the press release, it also secures the devs “a clean foundation to monitor the changes made with previous economy updates.”

The good news is that in addition to fixes, the update also introduces a new weapon for players to find at helicopter crash sites around Chernarus and Livonia in the SVAL, which also has new 20 round magazines for 9×39 ammo.

The update also adds new textures and abandoned truck parts for the M3S, as well as tweaks vehicle behavior. Those who participated in the base building contest that took place in September will now have their winning flags in the game, and garden plots can now be removed with shovels and pickaxes.

There’s a host more fixes and tweaks for the game, which you can read up on in the update’s changelog. DayZ is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
