Lovecraftian Cult Sim ‘Worship’ Debuts on Kickstarter, Aims for 2022 Release on PC And Consoles

Let’s be honest: We need more cult simulators of the Lovecraftian variety. Luckily, Chasing Rats Games has just what you need in their upcoming title, Worship. Currently, the team is crowdfunding via Kickstarter to get that last bit of funding, and is already halfway to their goal.

Described as “a cultist themed multiplayer roguelike game”, Worship has you serving your god, which just so happens to involve blood sacrifices. You simply draw blood and create a pattern on the land while bleeding to summon your god’s magic prowess. Of course, there’s more to it than that.

Along with exploring the land and solving puzzles, you’ll have to recruit new followers to your cult, as well as survive threats from rival cults in order to show everyone the winning team. Even if the “winning team” seeks to summon your god and cause the end of the world.

Did we mention that the game is also 4-player co-op, both online and local?

Right now, the game is set for release in 2022 on PC and consoles, with Kickstarter goals of varying levels and rewards, including an artbook, soundtrack, and physical editions of Worship.

There are 29 days left of the campaign, so head on over and check it out if you’re interested. Props to DreadXP for the original story.
