‘Shadow Man: Remastered’ Gets April Release Date; Valiant Rebooting ‘Shadowman’ Comic

Nightdive Studios is set to release their updated and enhanced version of Shadow Man: Remastered on April 15 for PC via Steam, GOG and the Epic Game Store. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch versions will be announced at a later date. Coinciding with the announcement is original creator and comics publisher Valiant Entertainment’s announcement that they will be releasing a reboot of the comic series, as well!

Written by Cullen Bunn (Deadpool Kills the Marvel UniverseAsgardians of the GalaxyThe Sixth Gun Harrow County, Venom) and illustrated by artist Jon Davis-Hunt (Clean Room), SHADOWMAN #1 will launch on April 28th, and will be available at retail shops, as well as in digital format. You can actually check out a preview panel on Comicbook.com.

Originally released on the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Dreamcast and PC, Shadow Man: Remastered follows Michael LeRoi, the current holder of the voodoo warrior moniker “Shadow Man”, as he battles the forces of darkness attempting to cross-over from their realm into the world of the living.

The remastered version of the game features the following:

  • 4K widescreen support for the latest monitors
  • Anti-aliasing and “all sorts of other post-processing magic” to smooth out the image
  • A whole new visual experience with dynamic shadow mapping and per-pixel lighting
  • Never-before-seen content cut from the original game
  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) rendering to really take advantage of modern displays
