‘The Last of Us Part II’ Leads All 2021 BAFTA Games Awards Nominees Ahead of March 25 Ceremony

It’s that time of year again for the BAFTA Games Awards, and to no one’s surprise, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II leads the way in nominations.

PlayStation Universe reports that the title not only leads all other nominees with 13 nominations, but those nominations are more than any other single game has ever received in the history of the awards.

The Last of Us Part II isn’t the only big nominee this year, as Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima is up for 10 categories, while Supergiant Games’ Hades is up for 9 awards. Valve’s Half-Life: Alyx and CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 have four nominations each, while Bethesda’s DOOM Eternal and Devolver Digital’s Carrion have two nominations, apiece.

This year’s BAFTA Games Awards will take place on Thursday, March 25, and will be streamed exclusively online through Twitch, YouTube, and Steam. You can check out the full list of nominees and their categories here.
