‘Day Shift’: Snoop Dogg Bites Into Netflix’s Vampire Horror Starring Jamie Foxx

Snoop Dogg (Bones, Hood of Horror) continues to play around in horror having just landed a role in Netflix’s horror film Day Shift, which will feature Jamie Foxx as a vampire hunter.

Day Shift sees Jamie Foxx play a hard-working, blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international union of vampire hunters.”

The ensemble cast includes Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, Vigilante), Dave Franco (The Rental), Meagan Good (Saw V, The Unborn), Karla Souza (Jacob’s Ladder), Eric Lange (“Lost”) and Zion Broadnax, which earlier named Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Oliver Masucci, Steve Howey and C.S. Lee to co-starring roles, adds Heat Vision.

J.J. Perry, known for his work as a second-unit director and stunt coordinator for The Fate of the Furious, Bloodshot and the John Wick movies, will helm the project based on a script initially discovered at a screenplay competition.

“Tyler Tice’s script has current revisions by Shay Hatten, and the producer credits are shared by Chad Stahelski and Jason Spitz for 87Eleven Entertainment and Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick for Impossible Dream Entertainment.

“The executive producer credits are shared by Foxx, Datari Turner and Peter Baxter.”
