Netflix‘s series “Russian Doll” will be back for a second season, with Natasha Lyonne once again leading the cast. And this time around, Sharlto Copley (District 9) will be joining her.
Annie Murphy and Carolyn Michelle Smith are also on board for season two. Deadline reports, “No details about the Season 2 storyline or the new characters have been released. The first season followed a young woman named Nadia, played by Natasha Lyonne, who repeatedly dies during a New York party, reliving the same night in an ongoing time loop.”
“Nadia keeps dying and reliving her 36th birthday party. She’s trapped in a surreal time loop — and staring down the barrel of her own mortality.”
Production on Season 2 is underway, with a Summer 2021 premiere being eyed.
Lyonne is also a co-creator and executive producer of the series.
