‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Creator Releases Free Game to Apologize For ‘Security Breach’ Delay

In a surprise move for those waiting on the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, creator Scott Cawthon has decided to make amends by releasing a free game! Announced on the FNAF subreddit by Cawthon himself, Scott apologizes for the delay of Security Breach, which was to come out last year.

“As you all know, Security Breach was originally planned to come out at the end of 2020, but as we kept working on it and kept adding to it, it just kept getting bigger and bigger and needed more time to finish. And now, again, I’ve made the decision to put more time and money into it to make sure it’s finished properly, and that means a late 2021 release instead of an early 2021 release like I had originally wanted.”

As a result, Cawthon has released Security Breach: Fury’s Rage, a throwback sidescroller beat-’em-up that harkens back to Streets of Rage. The game is available now on Game Jolt.

Meanwhile, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach  is expected to be released by the end of the year for PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.
