John Malkovich-Starring Pandemic Thriller ‘The Survivalist’ Acquired for US Release by Quiver Distribution

Announced at the tail end of 2020, it looks like the “pandemic thriller” The Survivalist has already been filmed, and THR reports that Quiver Distribution has acquired it for US release.

John Malkovich stars alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

“The feature, directed by Jon Keyes, takes place after a viral pandemic decimates the world. It follows a survivalist that is forced to take on a group of heavily armed fanatics who believe that he is harboring the woman who is key to ending the virus and repopulating the world.”

Matthew Rogers wrote the script for the “action-thriller.”

No release date at this time. Stay tuned.
