505 Games and One More Level are striking while the iron is hot, as they’ve announced in a press release that they’re already at work on the follow-up to last year’s cyberpunk slashfest Ghostrunner. This comes as the companies announced that Ghostrunner has sold over 600,000 copies across across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Ghostrunner 2 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, though no release date has been announced as of yet. The enhanced version of the original Ghostrunner is expected later this year for the PS5 and Xbox Series.
“We are particularly excited about the future release of Ghostrunner 2. Together with One More Level, we have created a thrilling and engaging video game.” comments Raffaele Galante, co-CEO of Digital Bros, which has 505 Games as its subsidiary.
Ghostrunner (read our take) will be receiving a physical version for the Nintendo Switch next month.
