Adam Wingard’s “MonsterVerse” fight film Godzilla vs. Kong just made its way onto DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD last week, and the film also hit a huge milestone over the weekend.
Deadline reports that Godzilla vs. Kong has made $100,112,876 at the domestic box office, making it only the second film during the pandemic to pass $100 million domestically.
The first film to hit that goal? John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II, earlier this month. What’s most impressive about Krasinski’s sequel is that it hit $100 million in just three weeks.
Worldwide, Godzilla vs. Kong currently sits at $442,512,876, now in the WB/Legendary film’s 12th week of release. It originally stomped into theaters and HBO Max on March 31.
Across 512 theaters, $250,000 was added to GvK‘s domestic total over the weekend.
As for A Quiet Place Part II, domestic total to date is $125m and worldwide total is $221m. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is at $53m domestic, $142m worldwide.
