Sam Fisher and ‘Splinter Cell’ Return in New Netflix Animated Series from ‘John Wick’ Creator

While not quite Solid Snake, Sam Fisher fans will be happy to have Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell series back in the spotlight, as Netflix unveiled the new animated series during their Geeked showcase. Netflix has even enlisted Derek Kolstad, creator of the John Wick franchise, for writing duties.

For this version of Sam Fisher, the former Navy Seal has been recruited to work for the 3rd echelon division within the NSA. Netflix states that the show will have “a stacked talent team”, alongside Kolstad.

The show will be produced by France’s Fost studio and Sun Studios.

No word on casting as of yet, though if they can get Michael Ironside back as the older Sam Fisher, that would be a good start.
