ScreenDaily breaks the news on a mysterious new documentary from Gaspar Noé that’s just been added as a surprise addition to Cannes.
Following his hallucinogenic nightmare Climax, Noé gets behind the camera for Vortex, which features cult Italian director Dario Argento (Deep Red, Suspiria, Inferno), veteran French actress Françoise Lebrun and French actor/filmmaker Alex Lutz.
“The director released an Instagram-style first image on Thursday showing a person hidden under rumpled bedcovers as well as the following logline: ‘Life is a short party that will soon be forgotten’, notes the site.
Deadline has a tiny bit more info from the film running in the new Cannes Première section, writing that it’s billed as “a quasi-documentary about the last years of a loving couple suffering from senility.”
