Shudder’s “Creepshow” Season 3 To Unleash Gruesome New Monsters This September

If season two of Creepshow anthology series left you clamoring for more, season three is already on the way! Horror streaming service Shudder has set September 23 for Creepshow’s third season premiere.

The announcement was made during Amazon’s Comic-Con@Home panel today, which saw showrunner and executive producer Greg Nicotero, along with writer Mattie Do, director Rusty Cundieff, and guest cast members Michael Rooker and James Remar as they chat about the series’ newest monsters, stories, and homages.

Nicotero teased that Cundieff would direct a segment called “Mums,” written by Nicotero based on the Joe Hill short of the same name from his short story collection Full Throttle. The segment will star Ethan Embry.

For Creepshow newcomer Mattie Do, Nicotero gushed that the writer came up with a “creature unlike anything I’ve ever seen before or imagined.” Do elaborates on how she infused her Southeast Asian heritage into her creature creation, “We have this monster, typically female, that becomes extremely hungry, so its head detaches from the body and its entrails and heart hang from its neck. It eats you.” The panel, below in full, teased a clip from her segment “Drug Traffic,” which stars Michael Rooker.

The panel revealed that season three will contain six episodes. Jonathan Schaech, Reid Scott, and Hannah Fierman will also guest star in Season 3. Creepshow Season 2 will make its linear premiere on AMC on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Creepshow Season 3 premieres Thursday, September 23 on Shudder as well as via the Shudder offering within the AMC+ bundle.
