When we did our first list of horror arcade games, we mentioned Data East’s Night Slashers as one of those brawlers that you probably missed out on, due to Capcom having cornered the market. Well, if you’re one of those missed out on it, Forever Entertainment is giving you a second chance.
Gematsu reports that Forever Entertainment (which is also working on the remake of The House of The Dead and its sequel) has signed an agreement with G-Mode to produce a remake of Night Slashers for all major platforms. No release date has been announced for the remake, nor have any other details been released.
You can find the original game on the Nintendo Switch as well as Steam, though you’re not going to get access to the uncensored Japanese version. Hopefully, Forever Entertainment decides to do an amalgamation of all the versions of the game to allow for a more definitive experience.
