One of the films premiering at this month’s Fantastic Fest is Slumber Party Massacre, a remake of director Amy Holden Jones’s 1982 slasher. Danishka Esterhazy (The Banana Splits Movie) directed the film, with the script written by Suzanne Keilly (“Ash vs. Evil Dead”).

The 1982 version of Slumber Party Massacre, written by Rita Mae Brown, ended up spawning two sequels: Slumber Party Massacre II (1987) and Slumber Party Massacre III (1990).
