Season 3 of Netflix’s “The Movies That Made Us” Will Spotlight ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ and ‘Friday the 13th’

The first two seasons of Netflix’s mini-doc series “The Movies That Made Us” went behind the scenes of classics including Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, Ghostbusters, and Die Hard, and we’ve learned today that the upcoming third season is going to be a horror-heavy offering that’ll arrive on Netflix just in time for the Halloween season.

Season 3 premieres on October 12, and the films being covered include A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Aliens, RoboCop and Coming to America!

The idea behind the series is to tell untold stories from the movies we all know and love, so here’s hoping they’ve uncovered new tidbits from these horror classics. Then again, with each of these franchises already getting extensive documentary spotlights of their own in the past, it’s hard to imagine that there’s anything more for the diehard horror fan to learn at this point.

You can watch the trailer for Season 3 over on Netflix right now!
