Stephen King News Roundup: ‘Salem’s Lot’, ‘Pet Sematary’ and ‘The Black Phone’ [The Losers’ Club Podcast]

Busy times in King’s Dominion. Seems as if we’re finally over the rumor mill on a number of Stephen King-related projects, which means it’s time for the Losers to put on their shades, rev up their Plymouth Fury convertible, and head to Hollywood King.

It’s a freewheelin’ news episode that finds Losers Michael Roffman, Dan Caffrey, Justin Gerber, and Jenn Adams cycling through all the latest headlines involving Sai King. Specifically, Gary Dauberman’s ‘Salem’s Lot, Lindsey Beer’s Pet Sematary prequel, the new “Strawberry Spring” audio drama, and even Scott Derrickson’s adaptation of Joe Hill’s “The Black Phone”.

Along the way, they also share their spoiler-free thoughts on Nia DaCosta’s blockbuster hit Candyman, debate about which of King’s other short stories might also make for another good audio drama, and, naturally, spin great bits about the late Robert Loggia. It’s a wild Hollywood King episode, kicking off what will now be a monthly tradition in the main feed.

Stream the episode below and return next week when the Losers deliver their epic book episode on King’s 1998 novel Bag of Bones. Given that Netflix really is the master of their own data, how many times a viewer streams The Ridiculous 6, or what films don't get watched all the way straight through, or how many times someone watches an episode of Bill Nye Saves the World, it was easy for them to come up with the list based on just one percentage: 70 percent.
