Horror gamers don’t have many RTS games to call their own. So when a game like PlaySide’s Age of Darkness: Final Stand comes along, promising “over 70,000 enemy units on the screen at one time”, you bet we’re interested. The latest gameplay trailer should convince you if you’re on the fence.
The premise of Age of Darkness: Final Stand sees you and your village up against hordes of monsters known as the Nightmares. Build and fortify during the day, and endure the onslaught during the night. Luckily, you have Hero units with unique abilities that can be leveled up in battle to help you turn the tide. But be careful, as the Nightmares have elite units of their own.
Currently, the game is in Early Access on Steam, with an October 7 release.
