Yeah, you guess it: Denis Villeneuve‘s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune is getting in on Fortnite. Ahead of the film’s long-awaited release this Friday, Paul Atreides and Chani have ventured into Epic Games’ battle royale title. Along with them is quite possibly the scariest-looking sandworm you’ll ever come across.
Players will be able to buy the alternate skins, as well as accessories such as Paul’s knives and Chani’s Fremen Maker Hooks, Fremkits, and a glider based on the film’s Ornithopter. And if that’s not enough, you’ll also be able to buy an emote that makes your character walk like they’re trying to avoid disturbing a sandworm.
And yes, the sandworm does look like that.
The tie-in runs alongside Fortnite‘s annual Halloween event, which runs until November 2nd.
Dune stars Timothée Chalamet, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Zendaya, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Jason Momoa and Stellan Skarsgård, and arrives in theaters as well as HBO Max on October 22, 2021.
