[Watch] Latest “Dying 2 Know More” Episode For ‘Dying Light 2’ Focuses on The Game’s Soundtrack

After briefly touching on the game’s score last week, Techland is taking a closer look at composer Olivier Derivière’s score for the upcoming Dying Light 2 in the fourth episode of “Dying 2 Know More”. In doing so, Derivière shares the inspiration behind the title’s main theme (which you can stream here), as well as showing off the custom instrument that features in the score.

Derivière and the London Contemporary Orchestra (Alien: Covenant, You Were Never Really Here) recorded the Dying Light 2 Stay Human OST in the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The score makes use of the Electric Psaltery, a custom-built metal instrument featuring wires which can be plucked or bowed, each corresponding with specific characters from Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is scheduled for release on February 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
