“Fatal Attraction” TV Series Starring Lizzy Caplan Gets Series Order at Paramount+

Released in 1987, Adrian Lyne’s Fatal Attraction is the latest movie to get its own television series, with Paramount officially ordering the project to series for Paramount+.

Deadline reports that Lizzy Caplan (“Castle Rock”) is set to star as female lead Alex. That’s of course the role memorably played by Glenn Close in the original movie.

“The series explores the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes towards strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”

“Caplan plays Alex, who becomes obsessed with her lover after a brief affair. The male lead role of the lover, Dan, played by Michael Douglas in the movie, is currently being cast.”

In the 1987 movie…

“A married man’s one-night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family.”

Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin Hynes (Dirty John) are writing the script.

The original movie’s producers, Stanley Jaffe and Sherry Lansing, are on board to exec produce.
